It is time again for Follow My Book Blog Friday hosted at Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read. This is a great ways to meet and befriend your fellow bloggers.
So, here goes with this week's question:
Q: What is one book that you would be nervous to see a movie adaption of because you think the movie could never live up to the book?
Books are my passion and movies come in a close second. I also enjoy watching movie adaptations. They are seldom as good as the book (except for The Silence of the Lambs) but it is always interesting to see someone else's take on things. It doesn't bother me if a movie adaptation doesn't live up to the book because I am able to put the movie out of my mind and concentrate on my own perceptions of the story.
Which movie adaptation has you nervous?
I like your comment. But I am one of those who don't like most of the films. I stay with the books. Maybe because of the twilight films. Because they where sooo very different than the books.

Good comment! I think I would still be nervous, though, for one of my favourite books to be made into a movie, in case it wasn'tgood. For example, I was nervous for The Hunger Games to come out [though I had nothing to worry about!].
ReplyDeleteI would be VERY nervous! New follower!

I like book adaptations because they cause other people to read the books. I think we need more readers in the world :)
ReplyDeleteyou"re right, I like watching them too but I'm always nervous to see how it is.
ReplyDeletehere is mine
I never read Silence of the Lambs, but the movie is perfection!
ReplyDeleteOh, The Silence of the Lambs! I've heard that Hannibal is even creepier in the books and plan to read them since I first saw the movie, but never managed to do so so far. :/

Hopping through. I don't like movie adaptations in principle but once I see it, I'm usually able to appreciate it for what it is.

I second your answer. I love seeing what I've read on screen -- as long as it isn't drastically different than the book like I Am Number Four. That movie made me mad!
ReplyDeleteAlso, happy FF! Just sneaking through to say hey. I'm a new follower! I hope you'll stop by & visit me too.
